Enneagram - Growing in Faith Through Self-Awareness

It is important to understand, first and foremost, that psychology is not about replacing theology. To understand oneself is to know the truth, both spiritually and psychologically. Using both together is part of a growing, constantly evolving, faith-based understanding to keep things in the proper perspective.

As people of faith, we are called to grow in love – both for God and for one another.  One tool that can help us on that journey is the Enneagram; an ancient and spiritually rooted framework for understanding ourselves and others.  While some may wonder about its origins, or worry that it is tied to unfamiliar “new age” ideas, the Enneagram has long been used by Christian teachers, spiritual directors, and contemplative communities as a means of deepening self-awareness and drawing closer to God.

Catherine Glandt has taught and counseled using the Enneagram for years and the transformations witnessed have been amazing. After years of therapy, education in theology, and other paths clients have chosen, they are able to find new and deeper understanding through the enneagram.

The Enneagram is not about labeling ourselves or others.  It is, rather, about discovering the unique ways we reflect God's image, and the patterns that sometimes get in the way of living freely and faithfully. I would invite you to explore this tool with openness and the spirit of prayer as part of your personal and spiritual growth. Humility, curiosity, and grace are crucial to growing in faith and love. You will be amazed at the beauty that lies within and the gifts that God has given you that you have yet to discover.

Announcements of future classes will be forthcoming.  These, courses will teach you to explore how self-awareness can lead to transformation by learning more about ourselves and others. In this way, we can deepen our relationship with God, cultivate compassion, and live more fully as the people God created us to be.
