Support Scouting America at First Church

Our church is proud to partner with Scouting America as we help young people grow in character, leadership, and service. We’re inviting members of our congregation to consider serving in a variety of meaningful support roles. No prior Scouting experience is required—just a willingness to help and a heart for mentoring youth.

Ways You Can Serve

• Unit Scouter Reserve

Assist with activities, campouts, or events on an as‑needed basis. This is a great option for adults who want to help occasionally without a weekly commitment.

• Merit Badge Counselor

Share your professional skills, hobbies, or passions by guiding Scouts through specific merit badge requirements.

• Additional Adult Support Roles

There are many other ways to contribute: administrative help, transportation, event support, and more. If you're willing, we can find a place for you!

What’s Required

All adults serving with Scouting America must:

  • Register with Scouting America, and

  • Complete the required online training, including youth protection training.

We will guide you through each step of the process.

Thank you for helping strengthen the Scouting program and the young people it serves!
