Days for Girls International

Fort Collins First United Methodist Church (FUMC) has supported a Days for Girls International (DfG) team for over 8 years and has made almost 1000 reusable period kits, over 10,000 additional kit components, provided over 1500 soaps/washcloths/underwear, and sponsored the making and distribution of almost 1000 kits at Kenyan DfG Enterprises. The goal for the FUMC DfG team is to continue making and sponsoring the making of DfG kits to empower more girls to remain in school. The outcome of our efforts is that girls will have equal opportunity to become all they can and want to be. Help turn periods into pathways by sewing, serging, ironing or cutting materials or by donating to this important cause. You are welcome to join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month in The Parlor from 9:00 am until noon or feel free to work from home.
