We strive to create a relationship with our Native American brothers and sisters to work towards reconciliation and right the many wrongs that we have provided to them. We support various needs, including the Heating Assistance Program every year.

Come learn about Missing and Murdered Indigenous People with prosecuting attorney, Susan Shangroiux who works with victim services with members of the Pine Ridge Reservation. Join us in The Parlor on 10/11/26 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm.
Please join us as we seek awareness of this human rights issue to provide better understanding of one of the issues that affect Native American communities across the United States. The broader challenges include poverty, drug and alcohol abuse, limited access to resources, and historical trauma , which have been brought to our attention in the last few years. As we learn of their struggles, may we work toward a future where Indigenous people can feel safe, valued, and protected.

Meeting basic needs is necessity for us all. First Church supports Pine Ridge Reservation in Pine Ridge, SD, and raised money to match heating fuel costs this winter. Thank you for your generosity!
