The Green Team invites you to join us for a four-session book study of Waste Wars: The Wild Afterlife of Your Trash by Alexander Clapp. This eye-opening book follows the global journey of our waste after it leaves the curb, revealing how trash shapes communities, economies, and environments around the world.
Through storytelling and investigative reporting, Clapp challenges us to think differently about consumption, responsibility, and the hidden costs of modern life. As people of faith, we are called to care for God's creation and to love our neighbors near and far. This study will provide an opportunity to reflect on how our everyday choices connect to these values.
Whether you are interested in environmental issues, social justice, economics, or Christian stewardship, you will find much to discuss. Come prepared for thoughtful conversation, new insights, and practical ideas for caring for creation in our daily lives.
All are welcome, whether or not you have finished the book. You can purchase the book on Amazon or the bookstore of your choice. Please visit our table after the 9 am service on 10/4, to learn more and sign up for this event. If you have questions, please email us at: GreenTeam@firstchurchfc.org
