Support Missions When You Shop
The local unit of United Women in Faith uses the money from grocery rewards to support local missions through our circles and through First Church. The remainder of the money is sent to the national UWFaith organization for national and international missions.
Link your King Soopers Shopper’s Card to NPO# SB653 (Fort Collins First UMW-EOM). You can do this at the Customer Service desk or online at Community Rewards (https://www.kingsoopers.com/i/community/community-rewards). Every time you use the card to pay for groceries or fuel, Kroger Company rewards money to UWFaith.
Stop by the United Women in Faith table in Fellowship Hall next Sunday, or any first Sunday of a month, to pick up an Albertsons Safeway Community Giving Card. There is no cost for the card. At the grocery store, before the checker starts your order, tell them you want to put money on your card. You can load any amount up to $500 on the card. Every time you use the card to pay for groceries or fuel, Albertsons Companies rewards money to UWFaith.
What an easy way to have a positive impact on the world!
UWFaith supports nearly 90 National Mission Institutions, almost exclusively founded by women in the 19th century to serve marginalized communities and populations across the United States. Today, UWFaith remains connected to these community centers, colleges, and residences providing vital services in vulnerable communities. National Mission Institutions empower women, care for children, support seniors, educate youth, provide housing for domestic violence survivors, and offer residences for special needs children and youth. National Mission Institutions also advocate for the women, children, youth, and families in the communities they serve.
Internationally, United Women in Faith supports partners that are enhancing the capacities of local and regional leaders and supporting economic development programs for women and youth. We provide academic scholarships and support Regional Missionaries—personnel serving in their home regions with church, ecumenical and grassroots partners in educational and empowerment programs for women and youth. Our international work empowers women and youth to find local solutions and make positive, measurable change in their communities.
